About the Role:
- We are seeking a proactive and accountable Assistant Manager - Finance to take charge of all finance-related matters across our organization.
- This role reports directly to the CFO and Managing Director and is pivotal for setting up and overseeing our finance department.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the IT industry, experience in managing international funds, and proficiency in accounting software like Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for all organizational finance matters.
- Report directly to the CFO and Managing Director, providing regular financial insights and updates.
- Establish and set up the finance department, driving all necessary processes from scratch.
- Prepare quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with external Chartered Accountants and auditing firms to facilitate seamless audits and financial transitions.
- Maintain accurate and compliant books of accounts, utilizing tools such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar software.
- Implement and uphold best practices in accounting and financial management.
- Take a proactive approach to managing finances, ensuring timely and effective support to both senior management and internal teams.
- Manage finances for the entire business, including overseeing budgets, forecasts, and financial planning across all units.
- Handle funds and transactions from international business sources, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Conduct quarterly visits to Trivandrum for management meetings and other official responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Preference for CMA-certified candidates or candidates who have completed CA .
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, specifically within the IT industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Prior experience in setting up and managing a finance department independently.
- Experience with international funds management is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel quarterly to Trivandrum for official meetings and responsibilities
