What You'll Do:
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop, define, and execute comprehensive national sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives to drive significant revenue growth and market expansion within the B2B segment.
- Revenue Growth & Profitability: Spearhead initiatives to accelerate sales growth, optimize sales processes, and maximize profitability across all B2B segments and regions.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and cultivate key client relationships to expand the customer base nationally.
- Sales Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing national sales team, setting clear targets, providing coaching, and fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely and collaboratively with marketing, product development, delivery, and senior management to align sales strategies with broader business goals, identify market opportunities, and ensure seamless execution of initiatives.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive advantages, leveraging insights to refine sales approaches.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement robust monitoring and reporting mechanisms to track sales performance, forecast revenue, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Budget Management: Manage the national sales budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve sales objectives.
- Client Relationship Management: Oversee strategic client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 15+ years of progressive experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales, with a significant portion in a national leadership or head of sales role.
- Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute complex sales strategies that drive substantial revenue growth and market expansion.
- Sales Leadership: Proven track record of successfully building, leading, mentoring, and motivating high-performing national sales teams.
- Business Development: Strong expertise in new business development, lead generation, and closing large-scale B2B deals.
- Financial Savvy: Experience in managing sales budgets, forecasting, and driving profitability.
- Communication: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence C-level executives and key stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Highly collaborative with a proven ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and senior leadership.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- An MBA is highly preferred
