Job opening for a Regional Legal Manager in a Leading NBFC at Mumbai.

Role: Zonal Legal Manager

Location: Mumbai

Working Days: 5 Days

Work Mode: Work from Office

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

- Reviewing Financial Agreements and Security Documents: Assess and analyze finance facility agreements and associated security documents to ensure legal compliance.

- Property Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on properties the company intends to mortgage, ensuring all legal requirements are met.

- Legal Advice and Consultation: Provide legal opinions and advice on various matters to the business team, offering guidance on potential risks and solutions.

Legal Documentation:

- Independently draft, review, negotiate, and finalize banking legal documents, such as loan agreements, security documents, assignments, securitization, and other finance-related contracts, while offering continuous support to the business teams.

- Evaluate and offer legal guidance to business teams regarding documentation and agreements.

- Oversee the entire process of legal documentation for banking transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

- Understand the products proposed by the business teams and advise on the applicable legal framework for each product.

- Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure that identified legal risks are addressed and appropriate actions are taken.

Qualification:

- Educational Qualifications: Graduate degree in Law, as regular full time student, from a recognized university (LLB). Candidates with Post Graduate Degree in Law (LLM) shall be given preference.

- Post Qualification Experience: Experience in finance industry, preferably in banking and finance sector, with a proven track record.

- Experience - 10-12 years. (Last experience preferably in banking industry).

- The candidate must be fluent in English and Hindi (both reading and writing). Knowledge of additional language would be a plus.

- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.

- Must be familiar with the general provisions of the law (Specially SARFAESI / NCLT / Immovable Properties).

- Candidate must be process oriented and confident to tackle / deal with the legal issues which challenge the Company.

- Candidate must be a team player.
