Role Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Recycling Head to lead our recycling and scrap sourcing business from Dubai. This is a leadership role that combines sourcing, supply chain oversight, and business development. The ideal candidate will have a strong global network in the scrap metal and recycling industry, with deep operational knowledge and commercial acumen to grow this vertical.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing & Procurement

- Identify, negotiate, and onboard suppliers of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap across global markets (including GCC, Africa, Europe, and Asia)

- Build and maintain a strong supplier base through direct relationships, scrap yards, aggregators, and agents

- Ensure competitive pricing, quality standards, and consistent supply flow

Supply Chain & Operations

- Oversee logistics, documentation, and end-to-end movement of scrap materials

- Liaise with shipping partners, freight forwarders, and customs agents for timely execution

- Manage compliance with international recycling regulations and import-export requirements

Business Development

- Develop and expand Metal Book's recycling business across new markets

- Identify and convert new buyers - mills, foundries, and recyclers globally

- Explore opportunities for long-term contracts, joint ventures, and strategic alliances

- Represent Metal Book at recycling and metals industry events, trade shows, and business forums

Strategy & Reporting

- Track global scrap price trends, demand-supply shifts, and trade regulations

- Share periodic business intelligence and margin reports with leadership

- Drive margin optimization, risk management, and sustainable growth

Candidate Profile:

- Graduate in Engineering / Commerce / International Business; MBA is a plus

- 7-10 years of experience in metal scrap/recycling/sourcing/trading

- Strong knowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap grades, specifications, and market dynamics

- Global sourcing and export/import experience across UAE, India, Africa, Asia, etc.

- Excellent negotiation, networking, and contract management skills

- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities

- Based in or willing to relocate to Dubai; must be open to frequent international travel
