Position: Head Talent Management
Location: Kharagpur, West Bengal

Reporting To: Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)
Role Summary:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Talent Management framework aligned with business objectives.
- Lead workforce planning, talent assessment, succession planning, and internal talent mobility programs.
- Design and manage leadership development and high-potential identification initiatives.
2. Performance Management
- Drive organization-wide implementation of performance management systems (KRAs/KPIs, Balanced Scorecards, etc.).
- Ensure timely goal setting, mid-year, and annual performance reviews in alignment with business priorities.
- Coach line managers on effective performance feedback and performance improvement plans (PIPs).
- Analyze performance data to identify trends, gaps, and interventions.
3. Learning & Capability Building
- Collaborate with functional heads to identify skill gaps and training needs across departments.
- Design and deploy competency-based development programs tailored to manufacturing, operations, and technical roles.
- Drive continuous learning culture through structured internal and external programs.
4. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
- Support talent acquisition strategy by identifying internal successors and managing critical roles pipeline.
- Partner with recruitment teams to integrate talent management outcomes into hiring strategies.
- Enhance employer branding initiatives to position the organization as an Employer of Choice in the region.
5. Organizational Development & Engagement
- Lead change management initiatives related to people, structure, and processes.
- Contribute to organization health diagnostics, employee engagement surveys, and action planning.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile:
Education: MBA/PGDM in HR from a reputed institute
- Experience: 1218 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in Talent/Performance Management, preferably in core manufacturing or heavy engineering sectors
- Proven track record in designing and implementing talent and performance frameworks
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from HR metrics
- Experience working in a plant/manufacturing location is a must
