We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented professional to lead the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Solar Sales vertical. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying and closing opportunities for rooftop and open-access solar projects in the C&I segment. The role demands a strong understanding of solar energy solutions, commercial structuring, regulatory knowledge, and a proven ability to drive end-to-end sales cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business targets in the C&I segment (Rooftop & Open Access).
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across commercial and industrial sectors.
- Lead client engagement from lead generation to proposal, negotiation, and closure.
- Conduct detailed site assessments, energy audits, and coordinate with engineering teams to design optimal solar solutions.
- Structure customized PPA, CAPEX, and OPEX (RESCO) offerings based on client needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including corporate clients, consultants, and channel partners.
- Stay updated with government policies, incentives, DISCOM regulations, and market trends in the solar domain.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance reviews to management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams like engineering, finance, legal, and project execution for seamless delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including corporate clients, consultants, and channel partners.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Strong understanding of solar technology, project finance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, CRM tools, and sales reporting.
- Proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/MBA in Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in the solar or renewable energy industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or business development role.
- Proven experience in leading large-scale solar projects and managing business units.
- Certification in Business Development in renewable energy is a plus.
