About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director - Commercial to lead and scale our Commercial Real Estate Vertical Pan-India. This role is perfect for a strategic leader with a growth mindset, keen to drive business expansion, profitability, and operational excellence.

As a P&L owner, the incumbent will be responsible for formulating business strategies, executing key commercial real estate transactions, and building high-performing teams. We provide the necessary capital, support services, and an enabling environment for entrepreneurial leaders to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and expand the firm's presence in the city.

- Identify new business opportunities in the commercial leasing sector, including office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use properties.

- Collaborate with senior leadership to align local goals with national and regional strategies.

Business Development:

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including property owners, developers, investors, and corporate clients.

- Lead and manage the business development efforts to secure leasing mandates and tenant representation assignments.

- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and seminars to enhance the company's market presence.

Operational Management:

- Oversee the city's commercial leasing operations, ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to company standards.

- Manage day-to-day operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.

- Coordinate with other departments (such as research, valuations, capital markets) to provide comprehensive real estate solutions to clients.

Team Leadership:

- Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of leasing consultants, brokers, and administrative staff.

- Foster a positive, performance-driven work environment that promotes collaboration and innovation.

- Set clear performance targets and monitor team KPIs to ensure optimal productivity and growth.

Client Management & Advisory:

- Provide high-level advisory services to clients on commercial leasing strategies, market trends, and property positioning.

- Ensure the delivery of tailored leasing solutions to meet client objectives, whether it involves space acquisition, lease negotiation, or portfolio optimization.

- Maintain an in-depth understanding of local market conditions and trends to guide client decisions.

Financial Oversight:

- P&L responsibility for the city, including revenue generation, cost control, and profitability management.

- Regularly report to the national/regional leadership on the financial health and performance of the city's operations.

- Develop pricing strategies for services and negotiate terms with clients.

Market Research & Intelligence:

- Leverage the firm's research resources to stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and changes in real estate regulations.

- Provide clients with market intelligence reports, occupancy analytics, and data-driven insights to guide leasing decisions.

Qualifications & Experience

- MBA with 10-15 years of experience in commercial real estate, with a strong focus on leasing and tenant representation.

- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership or senior management role.

Skills:

- Proven track record in business development and client management within the commercial real estate sector.

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Deep understanding of local commercial real estate markets, regulations, and leasing trends.

- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Attributes:

- Strong industry network and relationships with key decision-makers in the real estate and corporate sectors.

- Experience working with multinational clients and handling large-scale leasing transactions.
