Quality Assurance Manager - Food Safety/Quality Systems - Airline Catering Industry

About the Role :-

We are looking for a highly experienced Quality Assurance Manager with a strong background in food safety and quality systems, preferably from an airline catering organization. The ideal candidate will be a certified Lead Auditor with deep expertise in HACCP, FSSAI, and ISO 22000 standards. This role requires strategic leadership to drive compliance, audits, continuous improvement, and excellence in hygiene and food safety across the unit.

Key Responsibilities :-

- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Quality Assurance department.

- Establish, implement, and monitor Quality Management Systems (QMS).

- Lead all airline and external audits, ensuring compliance and successful certifications.

- Review & analyse microbiological and quality reports, driving preventive & corrective actions.

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives in hygiene, food safety, and process control.

- Manage vendor quality programs including development, monitoring, and audits.

- Oversee budgets for QA activities including cleaning supplies, pest control, and related functions.

- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Purchase, and HR teams to ensure QA standards.

- Build, mentor, and develop the QA team to ensure a culture of quality & compliance.

- Represent the unit in airline review meetings, regulatory inspections, and corporate QA forums.

- Ensure adherence to ISO 22000, HACCP, FSSAI, HALAL compliance, and airline-specific standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications :-

- 12+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in airline catering / food industry.

- M.Sc. Microbiology or equivalent qualification.

- Certified Lead Auditor with hands-on audit experience.

- Strong knowledge of HACCP, FSSAI, ISO 22000, and HALAL compliance.

- Excellent leadership, team-building, and communication skills.

- Proven ability to handle audits, regulatory inspections, and client interactions.

- Strong analytical mindset and focus on continuous improvement.
