Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement of raw materials and packaging materials, ensuring cost-effectiveness and uninterrupted supply for production. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in sourcing, supplier management, negotiation, and inventory control, preferably in the rubber industry..

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Sourcing & Procurement: Develop and implement sourcing strategies for raw materials (RM), considering market trends and price movements..

- Market & Price Analysis: Monitor and analyze RM pricing trends to support business development and cost optimization..

- Supplier Management: Manage relationships with existing suppliers and identify new suppliers to ensure a reliable, cost-effective supply chain..

- Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best deals..

- Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Ensure smooth supply of RM and packaging materials to maintain uninterrupted production..

- Vendor Payment Coordination: Work closely with the finance department to facilitate timely vendor payments and resolve payment-related issues..

- Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, optimize stock movement, and handle dead/non-moving stock efficiently to minimize losses..

Requirements:

- 10+ years of experience in procurement, with a strong preference for candidates from the rubber industry..

- In-depth knowledge of raw material sourcing, price trends, and supply chain management..

- Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship skills..

- Experience in inventory management and stock optimization..

- Familiarity with ERP systems for procurement and inventory control.. Excellent communication and leadership skills.. Malayali candidates preferred for better supplier and local market coordination..
