Job Summary:

- We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Purchase Manager to join our team in Bangalore.

- In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, goods, and services.

- You will develop and implement procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement in our purchasing processes.

- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record of optimizing purchasing operations.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.

- Forecast procurement needs and develop purchasing plans.

- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate favorable contracts.

- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.

- Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to contract terms.

- Resolve supplier issues and disputes in a timely and effective manner.

- Conduct supplier audits and evaluations.

- Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to payment.

- Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and invoices.

- Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability.

- Implement and maintain procurement policies and procedures.

- Utilize ERP systems and procurement software to streamline operations.

- Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.

- Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for reduction.

- Develop and implement cost control measures.

- Manage procurement budgets and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.

- Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals.

- Assign tasks and monitor team performance.

- Provide training and development opportunities to team members.

- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

- Identify and mitigate procurement risks.

- Develop and implement risk management strategies.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 8+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry.

- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.

- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e. , CPSM, CIPS).

- Experience with international procurement.

- Knowledge of import/export regulations.

- Experience in strategic sourcing.

- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

- Proven experience in a Purchase Manager role
