Job Summary:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to acquire new clients and expand existing business within the West region.
This role requires a strong understanding of the freight forwarding industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Development:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Identify and target potential clients in various industries requiring freight forwarding and logistics services.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- To hire sales team in Western region.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
Generate new leads:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations.
- Conduct client presentations and proposals, showcasing the company's services and value proposition.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new business.
- Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries and concerns promptly.
Sales Operations & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM systems.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
- Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Team Collaboration:
- Work with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participate in training and development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in sales within the freight forwarding industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and logistics operations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent market knowledge.
- Knowledge of import and export procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or relevant postgraduate degree.
- Established network of contacts in the freight forwarding industry.
- Experience with specific freight forwarding software.
