Project Planner - Plant Construction - Global Consulting Firm - Contractual

Our client, a global consulting firm, is supporting the end-to-end construction planning for a major concentrator plant project in the steel sector. As part of this strategic infrastructure initiative, the client is seeking a skilled Project Planner to strengthen internal project controls and enhance schedule visibility across workstreams.

This role plays a critical part in driving efficient and aligned execution across engineering, procurement, and construction. The consultant will help develop a master schedule using Primavera P6 and provide key planning insights that inform project progress tracking, internal reporting, and course corrections.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6

- Create critical path analyses, logic sequencing, and baseline comparisons to inform schedule performance

- Generate S-Curves and conduct earned value analysis for tracking progress and forecasting timelines

- Consolidate inputs from cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, construction) into an integrated schedule

- Coordinate with project controls and discipline leads to ensure real-time schedule alignment

- Deliver schedule-related data for internal decision-making and performance reviews

Your Background:

- 5-15 years of experience as a Project Planner or Scheduler in the construction or heavy industrial sectors

- Deep proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory)

- Strong understanding of project control tools, including S-Curves and resource histograms

- Prior experience in metals, mining, or steel plant construction is highly preferred

- Excellent communication and coordination skills in a remote setting

The opportunity will be on an initial contract duration of 6 months, with a potential extension based on project requirements. This is a full-time, remote opportunity requiring occasional travel to the client location.
