Project Director - Civil & Marine

We are handling an exciting and challenging job opportunity for the role of Director / Sr. Director Projects.

Work Location : Mumbai

Qualification / Experience : B tech civil engineering with the relevant work experience preferably in ports industry in marine civil.

Job Details:

- Extensive experience of leading the projects end to end and successfully execute the operations of the port.

- Shall be overall responsible for accuracy, quality, safety and timely completion of civil works within the budgeted cost.

- Coordination with consultants, contractors, independent engineers, port trust and other stakeholders in areas of drawing approval, release, follow up, keeping track of approval of drawings and issue the same to the contractors..

- Project management involving scheduling, budget control, accuracy, quality management, safety, statutory compliance etc.

- Guide, train and motivate subordinates in their day to day working, ensure coordination, discipline and morale of the team and monitor their performance.

- Super checking of bills and keeping track of quantity variation.

- Explore options for optimizing the project cost by innovative ideas acceptable to all stakeholders.

Requisite Experience:

- Should be a graduate in Civil Engineering (full time) from a reputed institution.

- Should have worked in civil projects in the relevant areas with front-line contractors/ consultants or major port organizations within India or abroad.

- The ideal candidate should have experience in areas like construction of marine and industrial structures with sound knowledge of specifications, general contract conditions and should be efficient in cost and time management of the project.

- Should have efficient communication and interpersonal skills to independently handle all correspondence with contractors, client, and independent engineers.

- Should be computer literate with hands on experience MS-Office, MS-Project and AutoCAD.

- The ideal candidate should have minimum experience of 22 years.

- Experience in SAP application (Project Module) is desirable.

- Candidate preferable from the port industry (west coast)
