Professor/HOD - Computer Science & Information Science

Position: Professor Computer Science and Information Science

Reporting To: Administrator / Dean Academics

Key Responsibilities

- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Science and Information Science.

- Guide B.E./M.Tech/Ph.D. research scholars and supervise student projects.

- Develop curriculum, course materials, and assessment methods aligned with industry standards and accreditation norms (AICTE/NAAC/NBA).

- Conduct original research, publish in reputed journals (SCI/Scopus), and present at conferences.

- Secure research funding from government/industry bodies and lead funded projects.

- Collaborate with industry partners for internships, placements, and joint research initiatives.

- Mentor junior faculty and actively contribute to departmental development.

- Participate in academic administration, examination duties, and university committees.

Qualifications

- First-class (or equivalent) in M.Tech and B.E./B.Tech.

- Experience of 15 years, preferable Minimum 8 years of post PG teaching/research/industry experience, with at least 5 years at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent.

Skills And Competencies

- Deep expertise in core CS/IS domains (e.g., AI/ML, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, IoT).

- Strong research and publication record.

- Effective communication and classroom engagement.

- Familiarity with outcome-based education and accreditation frameworks.

- Leadership and mentorship capabilities.
