- The role holder is operating in an environment where the financial services landscape is rapidly changing and being disrupted (e.g., payments landscape) and therefore, need to keep pace with the external changes and internal challenges. Where items of major consequence are involved, engagement with the relevant top-level management and governance bodies will be expected, directly and through collaboration with the Group Head of FC Investigations
Qualifications - External
- Proven ability in leading and building teams to deliver business and technology change in a highly complex and global environment
- Proven experience in defining strategies, product roadmaps and managing their subsequent implementation
- Excellent knowledge of the FinCrime domain, as well as a deep understanding of Investigations processes
- Ability to shape the definition of technology change based on a defined business outcome
- Ability to prioritize investment decisions internal to the case management domain
- Proven ability to influence change in and outside the span of direct control
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, with experience of dealing with senior managers at all levels
- A background in understanding operational risk is desirable
- Knowledge of a range of technical and non-technical areas is essential
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI techniques is desirable
Skills
- Excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills, with experience of dealing with executives at all levels including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management in the language of business
- Ability to develop practical, cost-effective solutions to what are often to complex global issues
- Ability to lead change, coordinating with other teams globally
- Ability to interpret and analyse a large volume of information and / or data and provide succinct summary for senior management
- Ability to prioritize conflicting demands and problem solve in a dynamic environment.
- Ensure a proactive approach is taken to the identification of any changes in the FC risk profile and potential impact to the architecture, technology and control framework. Ensure a consistent application of the framework to drive consistent and efficient outcomes
- Ensure the professional delivery of investment across investigative tools to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, security, and cost profile of FC. Apply judgement on the criticality and operational prioritization with a view to influence both short term tactical changes and longer-term strategic direction
- Leadership to drive, develop and implement programmes to address, manage and mitigate the impact of FC related regulatory changes/ developments to current and future state architecture across the Investigations control framework.
