Product Manager - Subscription Models (Insurance Domain)

We're looking for a Product Manager who has built and scaled subscription models in the insurance domain-whether health, motor, travel, or life. You will be responsible for owning the full lifecycle of subscription-based insurance products, including pricing, onboarding, renewals, auto-debits, retention, and churn.
This is a critical role that blends deep domain knowledge of insurance with a subscription-first product mindset. You'll work at the intersection of APIs, compliance, user experience, and monetization strategy.
What You'll Own & Drive:
- Subscription Strategy Design: Define and roll out subscription models for insurance offerings (monthly, quarterly, annual, etc.). Work closely with actuaries, underwriters, and sales teams to build pricing structures.
- End-to-End Customer Lifecycle: Design and optimize journeys across onboarding, premium payments, renewals, auto-debit mandates (e-NACH, UPI AutoPay), cancellations, and reinstatements.
- Retention & Engagement: Build features that reduce churn (reminders, grace periods, benefits for continuous coverage, etc.) and improve long-term customer value.
- Payment Integrations & Automation: Work with engineering teams to integrate with PSPs, gateways, mandate providers, and insurer backend APIs to enable seamless subscription flows.
- Compliance & Policy Lifecycle Management: Ensure IRDAI compliance in subscription flows. Track regulatory changes impacting renewals, cancellations, and digital payment mandates.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor core KPIs: churn rate, CAC:LTV ratio, renewal rate, activation-to-subscription conversion, etc. Use data to continuously iterate.
What You Bring:
- 2-5 years of product management experience in the insurance domain, ideally with exposure to motor, health, or travel products.
- Proven experience in building or scaling subscription-based models (e.g., insurance subscriptions, SaaS billing, etc.).
- Deep understanding of insurance lifecycle workflows - from policy issuance and endorsements to renewals and claims.
- Strong working knowledge of API-based integrations (BAP, iPOS, Saral, etc.) and payment systems (NACH, UPI, Razorpay Subscriptions, etc.).
- Ability to work with XML, REST APIs, and understand insurer logic and policy data structures.
- Solid grasp of IRDAI regulations, especially those affecting recurring premium payments, digital KYC, and renewal timelines.
- Highly analytical and data-driven; capable of balancing product intuition with customer insights and behavioral data.
- A mindset that is customer-obsessed, ownership-driven, and thrives in fast-moving environments.
