Job Description:
Product Strategy & Assortment Planning:
- Develop and execute a product roadmap aligned with Carter's global vision and Indian market needs.
- Conduct market research, trend analysis, and consumer insights to drive product innovations.
- Define the assortment mix, pricing, and category expansion strategy for Carter's in India.
- Ensure a balanced SKU mix across essentials, fashion, and seasonal collections.
Product Development & Sourcing:
- Work closely with design teams to develop India-specific styles, fits, and fabrications while ensuring alignment with Carter's core brand DNA.
- Collaborate with sourcing and manufacturing teams (domestic & international) for cost-effective production.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards (BIS, GOTS, etc.) for kidswear.
Merchandising & Pricing Strategy:
- Define pricing architecture for different retail channels (EBO, MBO, Online, Wholesale, LFS).
- Optimize margin structures, markdown strategies, and inventory planning to drive profitability.
- Work with merchandising teams to ensure the right product availability across touchpoints.
Go-To-Market & Retail Strategy:
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive product positioning and launch campaigns.
- Develop a channel-wise product strategy for own stores, department stores, marketplaces, and D2C platforms.
- Monitor sell-through rates, consumer feedback, and category performance, refining assortments accordingly
