Principal Analyst - Healthcare (Fundamental Equities)

Location: Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Gurugram

Overview:

- We are seeking resourceful and dynamic professionals to join our Financial Research group.

- This role will involve close collaboration with portfolio managers and analysts within the Fundamental Equities - Healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain detailed financial models and perform valuation-related analysis.

- Prepare comprehensive write-ups and present investment ideas to front-office teams.

- Conduct in-depth sector research in healthcare, covering all sub-sectors, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, life science tools and diagnostics, healthcare IT, and medical technology.

- Lead benchmarking analysis of valuation and operational metrics versus peer groups.

- Perform sensitivity and scenario analysis for better decision-making.

- Collaborate effectively with front-office teams to iterate on financial models and investment strategies.

- Participate in management, sell-side, intermediary, and sector expert calls to gain insights and support research efforts.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

- A degree in finance or an equivalent qualification (MBA, CFA, CA).

- A minimum of 5 years of investment research experience, with a strong background in financial analysis and modeling.

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working within the healthcare sector, particularly in international markets.

- Proficiency in Bloomberg Query Language (BQL), Bquant, and VisibleAlpha scripting is highly desirable.
