
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Digital Verification (DV) Practice Head to lead and grow our digital verification services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in all aspects of digital verification, coupled with significant business acumen and leadership experience. This role is responsible for driving the technical vision, managing a large team of verification engineers, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality verification solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Practice Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead and mentor a large team of DV engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Define and implement best practices, methodologies, and quality standards for all DV projects.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies (e.g., UVM, formal verification, emulation), and market demands to maintain a competitive edge.
Business Development & Client Engagement:
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify new business opportunities and develop compelling technical proposals.
- Lead technical discussions, present our capabilities, and negotiate project scope and deliverables.
- Drive revenue growth and profitability for the DV practice.
Project Management & Delivery:
- Manage project resources, including staffing, scheduling, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct regular project reviews and provide technical guidance to project teams.
Talent Management & Development:
- Develop career paths and professional development plans for team members.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to help team members achieve their full potential.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. An MBA is mandatory.
Experience:
- A minimum of 15+ years of experience in digital verification, with a proven track record of successful project execution.
- Extensive experience leading and managing large teams (25+ engineers) in a similar capacity.
- Significant experience in a client-facing, business development, or P&L-responsible role.
- Demonstrated experience with advanced verification methodologies, including UVM, formal verification, and hardware emulation.
- Deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, including design flows and standards.
Skills:
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in one or more hardware description languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog) and verification languages (SystemVerilog, C/C++).
- Solid understanding of scripting languages like Perl, Python, or Tcl.
