About the Role:A leading organization in the renewable energy and advanced manufacturing sector is seeking a seasoned Industrial Relations professional to take charge of IR & HR operations at its Butibori plant near Nagpur. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in core industrial relations while supporting broader HR initiatives. This is a critical leadership role for ensuring harmonious labor relations, legal compliance, and people-focused plant governance.
Key Responsibilities:Industrial Relations:- Establish and maintain strong union-management relations; lead long-term settlements and collective bargaining.
- Handle labor grievances, disciplinary actions, and domestic inquiries with a firm yet balanced approach.
- Ensure statutory compliance under various labor laws such as Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Trade Unions Act, etc.
- Build proactive engagement with government labor departments and other statutory authorities.
- Manage contract labor through close coordination with contractors and ensure compliance with CLRA provisions.
- Monitor IR climate, anticipate issues, and provide early warnings with proactive action planning.
- Lead initiatives for a peaceful, productive, and legally compliant work environment at the plant.
Human Resources:- Partner with internal stakeholders for workforce planning, skill development, and policy implementation.
- Support talent retention, employee engagement, and welfare initiatives.
- Collaborate with the corporate HR team on organization-wide people strategies and culture-building efforts.
Candidate Profile:
Experience: Minimum 15 years in Industrial Relations, with experience in large manufacturing or industrial plant environments.
Education: MBA/PGDM with a specialization in Industrial Relations or Human Resource Management.
Language & Background: Must be a Maharashtrian and well-versed in Marathi. Candidates from Nagpur or nearby regions preferred.
Traits: Strong negotiation skills, high emotional intelligence, and firm command of labor laws and compliance. Should possess a balanced personality with a people-first mindset.
