Position Overview.
A leading WHO-GMP-compliant pharmaceutical manufacturing and exporting company based in Dehradun, India is looking for a Plant Head (Techno-Commercial Role) to lead the daily operations of their manufacturing facility in Dehradun.
This role requires an effective blend of technical expertise, operational leadership, and commercial acumen.
The Plant Head will oversee the entire production process, ensuring compliance with WHO-GMP and other regulatory requirements, while driving innovation, cost efficiency, and market alignment.
Key Responsibilities.
- Day-to-Day Direction Provide overall leadership for daily plant operations, ensuring smooth production schedules and timely delivery of finished goods.
Qualifications & Experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 3-4 years in a senior managerial or plant leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of WHO-GMP, domestic and international regulatory standards, and various quality management systems.
- Strong techno-commercial acumen-capable of integrating production requirements with commercial objectives.
- Demonstrated experience in operational excellence, cost optimization, and driving innovation in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across cultural and functional boundaries.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or related continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Other Details.
Work Schedule: 6 days per week, on-site at our Dehradun manufacturing facility.
Local Network: A strong local network and solid understanding of the Dehradun region-authorities, suppliers, workforce-are highly preferred to facilitate coordination and resolve local operational matters efficiently.
