Position Overview:

- Overall responsibility and accountability for the Factory management that includes meeting production & productivity targets, quality assurance norms/standards, operational efficiency, optimal cost management and industrial peace & harmony.

- The incumbent is responsible for providing strategic direction to the factory management team & aligning them to meet both the long- & short-term objectives in line with the overall company business goals. The incumbent shall also be responsible for spearheading manufacturing excellence through best-in-class tools, technology, methods, processes, and systems to create sustainable customer delight. The role is also responsible for Site development planning, operational Planning & Change Management processes for the facility.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develops & inspires a common vision & engagement with both short & long-term targets for the factory, in accordance with the business strategy.

- Lead the factory management teams to meet manufacturing goals. Direct the functional & support teams to plan & determine optimal utilization of various resources for smooth operations of the factory to deliver goaled production, cost, efficiency, quality & safety.

- Build & manage factory governance structures by ensuring adequate management systems in place for necessary business controls, measures, and reports with an intent to minimize business risks & in adherence to corporate requirements.

- Strategize & develop site-specific plans in line with corporate strategies, in conjunction with functional teams.

- Lead change management & technology transformation by implementing IT ERP systems, based on requirements from management, users, IT Dept. and customers.

- Review & ensure optimal human resource management of the factory, including recruitment, productivity, training & development to achieve business objectives, along with the HR team.

- Coach & develop his/her functional reports for self & team development, skill enhancement & potential development to ensure effective & efficient performance from a short-term & long-term perspective.

- Create a harmonious workplace by motivating and engaging with the workforce to maintain healthy industrial relations.

- Monitor & manage site & personnel risk, health, safety, and environment requirements by ensuring adherence to statutory compliances and asset management systems in order to minimize organization exposure to risk, hazard & loss associated with capital & personnel.

- Nurture relationships with appropriate public, local statutory and government relationships to ensure the development and maintenance of a conducive and supportive environment around the factory and areas where we operate.

- Should have financial acumen to commit & deliver budgeted P&L, Capex and Inventory targets.

- Drive continuous improvements on Lean Mfg, Automation, Digitalization and Sustainability.

- Work with New Product Development Team to ensure a smooth launch of New Products.

Qualifications :

- B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. with 15-22 years of work experience in managing manufacturing facilities.

- Proven experience in factory leadership.

- Exposure towards dealing with workers unions for negotiating wage settlements.
