Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations including scrap sorting, baling, shredding, processing, and dispatch.
- Drive production planning and ensure machine uptime and plant throughput targets met.
- Maintain strict yard discipline, layout optimization, and inventory control.
Procurement & Sourcing
- Develop & manage a local vendor network for procurement of ferrous & non-ferrous scrap.
- Negotiate pricing and ensure quality and timely availability of input materials.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities in the region.
Sales & Dispatch
- Manage sales of processed scrap to industrial customers and steel plants.
- Drive customer relationships and ensure on-time delivery and payment collections.
- Achieve monthly sales and gross margin targets.
Team & People Management
- Lead a multidisciplinary team across operations, logistics, administration, and security.
- Implement effective performance monitoring and staff development practices.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Finance & Cost Control
- Manage plant-level budgets, working capital, vendor payments, and cost controls.
- Monitor financial KPIs input/output ratios, scrap yield, and monthly profitability.
- Ensure accurate reporting of inventory, purchases, and sales.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with PCB norms, Factory Licenses, Labor Laws, ESG standards.
- Prepare and submit timely reports to corporate HQ including MIS, audits, and ESG data.
Key Requirements
- Graduate in Engineering / Operations / Commerce. Plus MBA preferred.
- Minimum 8-12 years of experience in plant operations, procurement, or scrap trading.
- Strong knowledge of metal recycling processes, plant machinery, and logistics.
- Proficient in cost management, people handling, and compliance.
