Job Title: Assistant Manager HR & Administration (Plant)
Location: Taloja
Reporting To: Unit Head
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated HR & Administration professional (Plant) with 46 years of experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, employee engagement, and a safe workplace while driving people-first processes in a dynamic plant setup.
Key Responsibilities Areas (KRA):
Compliance & Safety Management:
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory filings, maintenance of registers, and compliance with labor laws.
- Maintain audit readiness for ESIC, PF, DISH, and other government inspections.
- Coordinate with EHS team to implement safety drills and enhance emergency preparedness.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for government authorities (ESIC, PF, DISH, Labor Office).
Plant Administration & Operational Efficiency:
- Manage plant administration activities including transport management, canteen services, and employee travel logistics.
- Supervise housekeeping activities ensuring cleanliness, orderliness, and adherence to 5S principles.
- Lead Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) initiatives to instill a culture of safety and operational discipline.
- Oversee Occupational Health Center (OHC) and coordinate health awareness and medical camps.
Human Resources Management:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for non-field roles up to Grade 100.
- Facilitate smooth onboarding and exit processes, ensuring proper documentation and exit interviews.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives such as Open House sessions, cultural events, and regular feedback forums.
- Act as an employee advocate by listening to concerns, resolving issues, and escalating critical matters to Unit Head and Corporate HR.
- Partner with HRBP and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless HR processes.
Skillsets Required:
- Strong knowledge of factory labor laws, compliance requirements, and safety regulations.
- Proven experience in handling statutory compliance and government audits.
- Hands-on experience managing plant administrative functions in a manufacturing setup.
- Proficiency in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and exit management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and government authorities.
- Sound decision-making ability, with a collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage a workforce of 100+ employees.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree (mandatory).
- MBA in HR (preferred).
- 4-6 years of experience in HR & Administration, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment.
