PhysicsWallah - Senior Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented finance professional to join our Finance team. This role is critical in driving business performance by providing strategic financial insights, enabling data-driven decision-making, and supporting leadership with accurate forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes in collaboration with business and functional stakeholders.

- Conduct variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast), identify key business drivers, and recommend corrective actions.

- Partner with business units to provide financial insights into revenue, expenses, margins, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

- Develop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to support scenario planning and decision-making.

- Prepare monthly/quarterly business review materials for executive leadership and investors.

- Collaborate with Accounting, Treasury, and other teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.

- Drive process improvements in forecasting, reporting, and analysis; implement best practices and automation where possible.

- Support ad-hoc financial analysis for strategic projects (M&A, new investments, pricing, cost optimization, etc.).

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA / CA / CFA preferred).

- 3-8 years of experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or management consulting.

- Strong understanding of financial statements and key business metrics.

- Excellent analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and financial tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

- Strong business partnering, communication, and presentation skills to influence senior stakeholders.

- High attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
