JOB TITLE: Deputy Lead -Banking
JOB LOCATION: Lagos, Nigeria
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Relationship Development With Local ,Regional And International Banks
- Expert In Trade Finance, Letter Of Credit , Bank Guarantees, Document Negotiation With Counter Parties
- Exploring Finance Deals With Banks including fund and non-fund based financing.
- Fund Raising Activities Scratch To End Process
- Negotiation On Terms Of Financing With Lenders, Suppliers.
- Negotiation And Reduction Of The Cost Of Finance
- Compliance Of Conditions Precedent And Other Terms Of The Credit Facility Sanction Letters
- Handling All Basic Banking Requirement Of The Various Departments Within Group, Such As, Assisting In Employee For Bank Accounts, Debit Cards/Credit Cards For Online Payments, Configuration Of Users For Online Banking, Availing Soft/Hard Tokens, Supply Of Periodic Statements, Balance Confirmations, Etc
- Maintaining Reports Of Account Management, Trade Instrument, Bank Charges, Export Receivable, Credit Exposure, Regulatory Authority Updates Related To Banking And Core Business Activity Of The Group
- Team management and team building.
- Liaising With Banks For Account On boarding.
FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:
- Relevant Banking relationship management experience at medium management level
- international corporate financing & banking experience across multiple countries ideally Africa / Middle East/Europe/China
- Experience in Oil & Gas / Manufacturing shall have weightage.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in handling bank liaison, fund raising, trade finance
- Knowledge of International practices for export documentations and Letter of Credit
- Strong knowledge of KYC compliance
- Strong ability to utilize relationship to resolve banking transactions for the operation team
- Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks within given timeline.
QUALIFICATION: Qualified Chartered Accountant/MBA Finance
EXPERIENCE: 15-25
CERTIFICATIONS: ERP/IFRS

Working Terms:
- Sterling is a group of companies and as per the Nigeria Labour law, we have a limited quota for expats. As we are a multi-company group, we have a limited expat quota available to each company. Therefore, wherever the quota is available, accordingly we issue the appointment letter to the candidate on behalf of that company.
- Time-off Rotation will be 6 Month working and 21 Days off if posted in Lagos, 6 months ON 30 days OFF, if posted in Plant/Site. & subsequently followed by every 6 months once (with International & Domestic air ticket provided by the company)
- Workdays & Hours - Six and half day's work
- First salary will be released after 60 Days followed by the salary cycle (Ex: If you join in July, you will get first month salary in September then after that every month you will get regularly)
