Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to understand the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, and contribute to the refinement of the product backlog.
Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through various techniques such as workshops, interviews, and surveys.
Develop a deep understanding of user needs and translate them into clear, concise, and well-structured user stories with clearly defined acceptance criteria.
Facilitate and actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
Work closely and collaboratively with Agile development teams, providing clarification on requirements, answering questions, and ensuring a shared understanding of the user stories and acceptance criteria.
Prioritize user stories within the product backlog in collaboration with the Product Owner and the development team, ensuring alignment with business value and strategic goals.
Analyze business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions that leverage technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Create and maintain process flows, use cases, and other relevant documentation to support the development and understanding of requirements.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring effective communication and managing expectations throughout the development lifecycle.
Support testing efforts by providing clear and unambiguous requirements and acceptance criteria, and assist with test planning and validation as needed.
Identify and document non-functional requirements such as performance, security, and scalability.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of Agile processes and practices within the team.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst in a software development environment.
Agile Principles and Practices: A strong and demonstrable understanding of Agile principles and practices, including various Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
Agile Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work closely and effectively within cross-functional Agile teams, fostering collaboration and open communication.
Agile Ceremony Facilitation: Experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
User Story Writing: Excellent skills in writing clear, concise, and testable user stories with well-defined and measurable acceptance criteria.
Backlog Prioritization: Experience in collaborating with Product Owners and development teams to prioritize user stories based on business value, technical feasibility, and other relevant factors.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical and business concepts to diverse audiences. -
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
Stakeholder Management: Ability to effectively engage with and manage expectations of various stakeholders, including product owners, developers, testers, and business users.
Documentation Skills: Proficiency in creating and maintaining various types of business and technical documentation.
Bonus Points:
Experience working with Agile project management tools such as Jira or Confluence.
Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (SQL, Excel, Tableau).
