Packaging Head - IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS

We are looking for a seasoned procurement leader to head our Packaging Procurement vertical. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in indirect procurement, especially within MRO and packaging categories, and will be responsible for driving cost optimization, supplier performance, and strategic sourcing initiatives across the packaging domain.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and lead the end-to-end procurement strategy for packaging materials across categories.

- Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and supply continuity.

- Drive category management, vendor consolidation, and spend optimization within packaging.

- Collaborate closely with operations, quality, R&D, and finance teams to align packaging procurement with broader business objectives.

- Leverage data analytics and market intelligence to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate risks.

- Lead negotiations, contract management, and long-term supplier partnerships.

- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, sustainability goals, and regulatory requirements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- MBA from a premier institute with 10+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in packaging, MRO, or indirect sourcing.

- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, cost savings, and vendor management.

- Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiations and supplier development.

- Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder environmentspreferably within procurement services or manufacturing.

- Exposure to digital procurement tools (SAP Ariba, Coupa, etc.) and data-driven decision-making.

- Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
