Operations Workstream Project Manager

Job Description:

- We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the operations workstream for a key project.


- This role involves setting operational standards, designing plant layouts, overseeing machine validation, and managing staffing and training for the operations team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operations Workstream Leadership: Lead the operations workstream to ensure project delivery meets established timelines, budget, and quality standards.

- Layout Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and finalize efficient plant layouts that adhere to safety regulations.

- Machine Validation: Oversee the validation of machines to ensure proper installation, testing, and qualification per required specifications.

- Training and Qualification: Develop and implement training programs to ensure operations personnel are well-qualified to operate equipment safely and efficiently.

- Manpower Staffing: Partner with HR to recruit, train, and deploy operations staff, ensuring optimal staffing levels and the right skill sets.

- Process Engineering: Apply process engineering principles to optimize production processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.

- Lean Concepts Implementation: Implement lean methodologies to eliminate waste, boost productivity, and improve overall operational efficiency.

- Project Management: Collaborate with project managers to align the operations workstream with project goals, timelines, and budgets.

- Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including project team members, operations personnel, and external partners.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in adhesive manufacturing, preferably within a chemical industry setting.

- Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing, process design, and optimization techniques.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across functional areas.

- Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience in training and developing junior engineers and production staff.

- Expertise in process documentation, SOP creation, and standards development.

- Proficiency in SAP systems, including BOM creation, pricing, and inventory management.
