Job Title: Construction Head/ Project Head
Reports to: CEO/Managing Director
Location: Mumbai
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and accomplished construction professional to lead our infrastructure projects. The Project Head will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Oversee the entire execution process from start to finish, ensuring projects are delivered according to the
planned timelines, quality standards, and cost-effectiveness.
- Review and approve project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Allocate resources and ensure optimal utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the construction team, including project managers, engineers, and site supervisors.
- Ensure clear communication between various teams to drive smooth project progress.
- Conduct regular meetings with the project team to monitor progress and resolve any issues.
Stakeholder Management:
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities.
- Provide timely updates to the management and stakeholders on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Quality & Safety Control:
- Ensure adherence to construction quality standards and safety regulations.
- Implement robust health and safety practices to avoid incidents on-site.
- Perform regular quality inspections and ensure compliance with codes, specifications, and industry standards.
Cost Management:
- Oversee the financial aspects of projects to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Identify potential cost overruns and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Approve material requisitions and oversee procurement for timely availability on-site.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks during project execution and develop contingency plans.
- Ensure that all permits, licenses, and necessary approvals are secured in time to avoid project delays.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Ensure proper documentation of all project-related activities, including progress reports, daily site logs, and incident reports.
- Submit regular reports on project performance, resource utilization, and financial status to senior management.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated with the latest construction technologies and methodologies to improve efficiency and execution quality.
- Suggest improvements to project execution methods and tools.
Requirements:
1. Experience: Minimum 10-15 years of experience in construction management, preferably in infrastructure construction projects.
2. Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, MBA or a related field.
3. Certifications: Professional certifications in construction management, such as CCM or PMP.
