Transactional Leadership

- Lead end-to-end execution of M&A transactions including structuring, negotiation, documentation, and closing.

- Oversee due diligence processes and supervise the preparation of transaction-related documents such as term sheets, share purchase agreements, business transfer agreements, shareholders' agreements, and other commercial contracts.

- Advise clients on strategic transactions including joint ventures, private equity investments, cross-border deals, and complex restructuring matters.

Practice Development

- Develop and drive the vision and roadmap for the M&A practice in alignment with the firm's strategic goals.

- Identify emerging trends in the M&A market and adapt the practice approach accordingly.

- Lead knowledge development initiatives, internal training programs, and updates on regulatory and market developments.

Client Engagement & Relationship Building

- Build, retain, and grow a high-value client portfolio by delivering high-quality, business-oriented legal solutions.

- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic guidance on structuring, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

- Drive business development by identifying opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in pitches.

An ideal candidate would have :

- A visionary legal professional hence a degree in law will be a must have.

- Deep knowledge of corporate laws, Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and FDI policies as they apply to M&A transactions.

- Strong command over transaction structuring, tax implications, and regulatory processes.

- Demonstrated experience in building and leading legal teams.

- Visionary thinking and the ability to align legal strategy with client objectives and firm goals.

- Entrepreneurial drive to build and scale a practice area independently.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence CXOs, promoters, and boards.

- Proven track record of client origination and revenue growth in prior roles.

- Exposure to diverse sectors such as financial services, healthcare, energy, technology, or manufacturing is preferred.
