Job Title: Chief Revenue Officer (CRO)
Location: Hyderabad

About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) with proven experience in driving large-scale growth within online education and EdTech companies. The CRO will be responsible for building and executing a comprehensive revenue strategy across B2C and B2B channels, leading sales, marketing, partnerships, and customer success to maximize topline growth.
This is a strategic leadership role ideal for candidates who have scaled revenues in leading EdTech companies like Byjus, Vedantu, Toppr, or similar.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Strategy & Growth
- Own the companys revenue targets and develop strategies to consistently achieve and exceed them.
- Drive B2C subscription/adoption growth and B2B partnerships with schools, universities, and corporates.
- Design innovative monetization models specific to the EdTech ecosystem (subscriptions, freemium, cohorts, test-prep, etc.).
Sales & Business Development
- Build and lead a high-performance sales organization across geographies.
- Establish robust inside sales, field sales, and channel partner strategies.
- Develop strategic alliances with educational institutions, publishers, and corporate learning partners.
Marketing & Customer Acquisition
- Collaborate with marketing to align lead generation, branding, and performance marketing with revenue goals.
- Optimize CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost) and LTV (Lifetime Value) metrics.
- Scale acquisition through digital campaigns, referral programs, and community-driven growth.
Customer Retention & Success
- Build strong post-sales engagement and retention programs.
- Enhance student/parent experience to drive renewals and upselling.
- Implement analytics-driven churn reduction strategies.
Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with CEO, Product, and Operations teams to align product-market fit with revenue models.
- Mentor and scale a large sales & growth team.
- Represent the company externally with investors, partners, and key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 12-18 years of experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles driving large-scale revenues.
- Proven track record in top EdTech companies (Byjus, Vedantu, Unacademy, Toppr, Infinitylearn, etc.).
- Deep understanding of EdTech revenue models subscription, hybrid, cohort-based, B2B partnerships.
- Strong expertise in sales, marketing, growth hacking, and customer retention.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and execution skills.
