Role Description:


- This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Manager to spearhead our business growth within the Transport and Aviation sector. Based in New Delhi, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales of Nikom's diverse portfolio of solutions, including data centers, energy management, IT infrastructure, and related services, to clients within the transportation and aviation industries.


- This role demands a strategic thinker with a proven ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, build strong and lasting client relationships, and effectively navigate complex sales cycles.


Responsibilities:


Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification:


- Conduct thorough market research to identify key players, emerging trends, and potential business opportunities within the Transport (e.g., railways, roadways, logistics) and Aviation (e.g., airports, airlines, air traffic control) sectors.


- Analyze client needs and challenges within the target sectors to identify how Nikom's solutions can provide value and address their specific requirements.


- Stay abreast of industry regulations, technological advancements, and competitive landscape within the Transport and Aviation domains.


Sales Strategy Development & Execution:


- Develop and implement strategic sales plans and initiatives to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets within the Transport and Aviation verticals.


- Define clear sales objectives, forecast sales revenue, and track progress against targets.


- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted marketing materials and campaigns for the Transport and Aviation sectors.


Client Relationship Management:


- Identify, prospect, and build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target Transport and Aviation organizations (e.g., CXOs, IT Heads, Procurement Managers, Project Directors).


- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their business objectives and providing tailored solutions.


- Conduct compelling presentations and product demonstrations to showcase Nikom's capabilities and value proposition.


- Effectively manage and nurture client relationships to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and explore opportunities for repeat business and upselling.


Sales Process Management:


- Manage the entire sales cycle from initial contact and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.


- Prepare and present compelling proposals, quotations, and tender responses that clearly articulate Nikom's value proposition and address client requirements.


- Effectively negotiate terms and conditions to secure profitable deals.


- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress in CRM systems.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:


- Work closely with pre-sales, technical, and project management teams to develop tailored solutions and ensure seamless service delivery to clients.


- Collaborate with the delivery teams to ensure client expectations are met and projects are executed successfully.


- Provide valuable feedback from client interactions to internal teams to improve product offerings and service delivery.


Reporting & Forecasting:


- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance updates for management.


- Provide insights into market trends, competitive activities, and potential risks and opportunities.


Target Achievement:


- Consistently meet and exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals for the Transport and Aviation sectors.


Qualifications:


- Experience: Minimum of 3-6 years of proven experience in sales and business development, specifically within the Transport (e.g., railways, roadways, logistics) and/or Aviation (e.g., airports, airlines, air traffic control) industry.


- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the technological landscape and specific needs of the Transport and Aviation sectors, including familiarity with relevant IT infrastructure, data center requirements, energy management considerations, and security solutions.


- Technical Aptitude: Solid understanding of data centers, energy management solutions, IT infrastructure (hardware, software, networking), and related technologies.


- Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with a proven ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with senior-level executives.


- Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies, navigate complex sales cycles, and close high-value deals.


- Results-Oriented: A strong track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.


- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand client needs and propose effective solutions.


- Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work independently, take initiative, and also collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team environment.


- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering (preferably Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Science), or a related field. MBA is preferred.


- Client Experience: Experience working with large and medium enterprise clients is highly desirable.


Location: Must be willing to work on-site in New Delhi.
