Role Description:
This is a pivotal full-time, on-site role for a highly motivated and results-oriented Information Technology Sales Specialist based in Delhi. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by generating new leads, effectively managing and nurturing existing client accounts, and leveraging their deep IT sales expertise to position Nikom's diverse range of solutions. This role requires an individual with a proven sales track record, the ability to independently handle medium to large key accounts, and a strong understanding of the IT landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Generation: Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through various channels, including networking, cold outreach, and leveraging industry contacts.
- Account Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing clients, understanding their evolving needs and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Key Account Handling: Independently manage and grow medium to large key accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and achieving sales targets.
- Technical Positioning: Utilize basic technical knowledge of UPS systems, data centers, IT servers, storage, networking, and security solutions to effectively position Nikom's offerings to clients.
- Sales Target Achievement: Consistently meet and exceed assigned sales targets and contribute to the overall revenue growth of the organization.
- Government & Enterprise Sales: Leverage prior experience working with Government/PSU sectors and large corporate/enterprise clients to identify and close significant deals.
- OEM Relationship Management: Maintain and build strong relationships with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to leverage partnerships and secure favorable terms.
- Large Deal Structuring: Possess a flair for structuring complex and large-scale deals that meet client requirements and maximize profitability for Nikom.
- Business Development: Develop and implement strategies for maintaining and augmenting business from existing clients, as well as actively generating new business from untapped accounts.
- Individual Contribution: Operate as a strong individual sales contributor, taking ownership of sales targets and driving results independently.
- Passionate Sales Drive: Demonstrate a die-hard and passionate approach to sales, with a strong focus on achieving success at both the end-user and OEM levels.
- Sales Expertise: Apply comprehensive knowledge of Hardware/Services sales and conceptual selling techniques to effectively communicate the value proposition of Nikom's solutions.
- Strategic Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders within client organizations.
- Process Adherence: Follow established sales processes and contribute to their improvement.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including technical and project delivery teams, to ensure seamless customer experience.
- Reporting and Forecasting: Maintain accurate sales records, provide regular sales reports, and contribute to sales forecasting activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Information Technology Sales, specifically related to the company's field (Data Centers, IT Infrastructure, etc.).
- Demonstrable track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of IT Sales principles and methodologies.
- Solid grasp of Information Technology concepts, including UPS systems, data centers, IT servers, storage, networking, and security solutions.
- Proven experience in Lead Generation and effective Account Management.
- Excellent verbal and written Communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
- Prior experience working with both Government/PSU sectors and large corporates/enterprises is essential.
- Established relationships with relevant OEMs in the IT infrastructure space.
- Proven ability to structure and close large, complex deals.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
- A Bachelor's/ master's degree in Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
