Account Manager - Government Sales


Role Overview:


As an Account Manager Government Sales, you will be responsible for developing and expanding relationships with government sector clients (Education & Research, PSU, Defense, Railways, etc.


You will play a strategic role in driving revenue growth, managing key accounts, and ensuring exceptional client engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Relationship Building:

- Build, nurture, and strengthen long-term relationships with key decision-makers in Government, PSU, Education, Research, Defense, and Railways sectors.

Solution Selling & Business Development:

- Identify customer needs and propose customized solutions across Netwebs portfolio (Servers, Storage, Networking, HPC, Cloud, AI/ML, Security, and Services).

- Drive strategic sales opportunities, ensuring alignment with clients business and technical requirements.

Account Ownership & Growth:

- Develop and execute account/territory plans, sales forecasting, and pipeline management.

- Expand share of spend across multiple solution categories.

- Deliver sales leadership on large, complex, and high-value opportunities.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams and OEM/technology partners to deliver tailored solutions.

- Ensure smooth coordination with delivery and post-sales teams for client satisfaction.

Market Intelligence:

- Stay updated on government tenders, procurement policies, and industry trends.

- Track competition and contribute insights to refine sales strategies.


Qualifications & Skills Required:


Experience: 510 years in B2B technology solution sales, with a proven track record in government/PSU/defense sector sales.

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.

Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, HPC, storage, networking, and security solutions.

Skills:

- Exceptional customer management and strategic selling abilities.

- Strong communication, collaboration, and executive presentation skills.

- Ability to engage with C-level executives and senior government officials.

- Aptitude for understanding how enterprise technologies solve business challenges
