Director - Finance, HOB Private Label Apparel Business

Role Overview:

The Director - Finance for the HOB Private Label Apparel Business will be responsible for driving financial planning, analysis, and decision support to enable profitable growth. This role involves deep collaboration with business and finance teams to manage budgets, optimize margins, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Business Support:

- Develop a thorough understanding of key business drivers and financial metrics to provide insightful analysis and value-added support.

- Validate season-wise OTB (Open-to-Buy) and inward patterns in line with budgeted sales, intake margins, and sell-through targets.

Performance Monitoring & Decision-Making:

- Partner with finance and business teams to identify, monitor, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance drivers.

- Influence and guide business decisions through data-backed analysis and actionable insights.

Forecasting & Expense Management:

- Participate in revenue forecast calls, highlight potential risks and opportunities, and provide appropriate recommendations.

- Own and manage expense forecasts by leveraging trend analysis and KPI reviews to enhance P&L management.

Financial Close & Reporting:

- Collaborate with the controller's organization for monthly P&L reviews and ensure timely financial close.

- Prepare detailed financial reports and insights for business reviews and senior leadership presentations.

Ad Hoc Analysis & Decision Support:

- Address complex ad hoc requests within tight timelines, providing analysis and actionable recommendations.

- Support finance and business leaders with revenue simulations and expense management, including margin protection and improvement plans.

Budgeting & Modeling:

- Develop and maintain budget models by establishing relevant KPIs and run rates.

- Prepare budget packs and presentations with insightful commentary to facilitate divisional and corporate-level reviews.

Process Efficiency & Automation:

- Lead, participate, and drive process standardization and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

- CA/MBA with 12-15 years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis, and business partnering.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex financial data.

- Proven expertise in P&L management, budget forecasting, and performance analysis.

- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive data-driven decision-making.

- Experience in the retail, e-commerce, or apparel industry is preferred.
