Role Overview:
MPL Steel Pipes is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our domestic and international sales operations for steel pipes and tubes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, export documentation, and client relationship management, with a deep understanding of global trade practices and industrial product markets.
Key Responsibilities:
International & Domestic Sales:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across target geographies
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, distributors, and channel partners
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms aligned with company goals
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely execution of orders and dispatch
Export Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare and manage export documentation including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and LC documentation
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and statutory guidelines
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents, and regulatory bodies
Market Research & Strategic Input:
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
- Contribute to sales forecasting, pricing strategies, and territory planning
- Represent MPL at trade fairs, exhibitions, and virtual buyer-seller meets
Candidate Profile:
Education : Degree in business administration, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, or International Trade
Experience : 4-8 years in domestic and export sales, preferably in steel, metal, or industrial products
Skills:
- Export documentation and Incoterms
- CRM systems, MS Excel, ERP tools
- Strong negotiation and cross-cultural communication
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
- Mobility: Willingness to travel internationally and domestically as required
