Job Title : Commercial & Finance Head

Reporting To : CFO / Managing Director

Job Summary :

The Commercial & Finance Head will be responsible for overseeing financial management, statutory compliance, legal transactions, and commercial operations. The role requires expertise in Income Tax, GST, Legal Compliance, Account Finalization, and Financial Reporting, along with strong debtor, payable, and fixed asset management. The incumbent should have excellent communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders and be proficient in SAP and SOP preparation

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management & Accounting

- Oversee the finalization of accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow management.

- Ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

- Develop and implement SOPs for financial and commercial operations.

- Monitor budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting.

- Taxation & Statutory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, TDS, and other statutory regulations.

- Oversee tax planning, audits, and filing of returns.

- Handle tax assessments, appeals, and litigation matters.

- Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement necessary changes.

- Legal & Commercial Transactions

- Manage legal documentation, contracts, and agreements.

- Oversee commercial transactions, vendor agreements, and corporate governance.

- Liaise with legal consultants for dispute resolution and compliance.

- Debtors & Payables Management

- Oversee debtors' collection, credit control, and risk management.

- Manage scheme settlements, vendor payments, and payables reconciliation.

- Implement effective strategies for cash flow optimization.

- Fixed Asset & Scheme Management

- Ensure proper recording, valuation, and maintenance of fixed assets.

- Oversee scheme management, incentive calculations, and discount structures.

- Internal & External Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.

- Coordinate with internal teams to streamline financial and commercial operations.

- Act as the key contact for financial queries from external stakeholders.

- SAP & Process Automation

- Utilize SAP for financial transactions, reporting, and analysis.

- Implement process automation and digital tools for efficiency.

Key Requirements:

Qualification & Experience

- CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.

- 10+ years of experience in Finance & Commercial roles, preferably in manufacturing, FMCG, or related industries.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of Income Tax, GST, and Legal Compliance.

- Expertise in financial planning, debtors/payables management, and statutory compliance.

- Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.

- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

- Ability to develop SOPs and improve operational efficiency.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
