Job Title - Market Head Branch Banking

Role Overview
The Market Head Branch Banking will be responsible for driving business growth, profitability, and customer experience across a cluster of branches in Bangalore. The role requires strong leadership in retail liabilities, assets, third-party products, wealth management, and customer service while ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and people development.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Drive acquisition of new-to-bank customers across retail and affluent segments.
- Achieve business targets for deposits, assets, fee income, wealth management, and third-party product sales.
- Build and grow market share by expanding branch banking presence and enhancing product penetration.
- Develop strategies for cross-sell, up-sell, and portfolio deepening.
Client Relationship & Service Excellence
- Ensure superior customer experience across all branches under the market.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with HNI, SME, and retail clients.
- Drive Net Promoter Score (NPS) and service quality standards.
Leadership & People Management
- Lead, coach, and mentor Branch Managers, Relationship Managers, and front-line staff.
- Build a high-performance culture through training, motivation, and succession planning.
- Ensure manpower productivity and retention across branches.
Risk, Compliance & Operations
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and bank compliance policies.
- Monitor operational controls, risk management frameworks, and audit standards.
- Maintain a culture of governance, ethical conduct, and operational excellence.
Strategic Initiatives & Market Expansion
- Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer insights to shape business strategy.
- Partner with product, digital, and marketing teams to drive innovation and customer engagement.
- Contribute to branch expansion, new business initiatives, and digital adoption.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Retail/Branch Banking, Liabilities, Assets, Wealth, and TPP.
- Proven track record of delivering business growth and profitability.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and execution capabilities.
- Customer-centric approach with high relationship management skills.
- In-depth understanding of compliance, risk, and regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience
- Postgraduate/MBA or equivalent qualification in Business/Finance.
- 1520 years of experience in Branch Banking/Consumer Banking, with at least 10 years in leadership roles.
- Prior experience in managing multiple branches/large teams is essential.
