Job description:
Role & responsibilities :
- Develop and execute the divisions short and long-term business strategy aligned with corporate goals.
- Identify and explore new market segments in marine, hydel, planetary gearboxes, sugar, and cement.
- Manage and implement the expansion plan, including setting up infrastructure and capabilities for future growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, EPC contractors, Windmill operators, Defence /naval clients, hydropower operators, and international partners.
- Lead high-value negotiations, long-term contracts, and strategic alliances.
- Build and expand offerings to include spares and services, with a revenue focus on aftermarket opportunities across marine, windmill, sugar and cement industries.
- Develop a network for execution of spares and services order to ensure rapid response to client needs.
- Promote technology collaborations to enhance product offerings and maintain competitive advantage.
- Monitor global trends in gearbox technology and ensure continuous innovation.
- Oversee managing approvals and collections to support timely delivery and healthy cash flows.
- Optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Look for avenue to reduce cost in supply chain and sub-contracting.
- Own the divisions P&L, ensuring revenue growth, profitability, and cost control.
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and investment plans.
- Ensure profitability from both new product sales and aftermarket service contracts.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Education: B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering; MBA preferred.
- Experience: 20-25 years in the gear manufacturing industry, with at least 8-10 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale manufacturing operations and delivering profitable growth.
