Role Description:

As the Manager - Visual Merchandising, you will be the creative force behind our in-store experience. You will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative visual merchandising strategies that capture customer attention, communicate product stories effectively, and create a desirable shopping environment. You will lead and mentor a team, collaborate closely with marketing and store operations, and ensure our visual presentation consistently reflects our brand aesthetic and drives business results.

Key Responsibilities:

Visual Merchandising Strategy and Planning:

- Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies that align with the overall brand identity, marketing campaigns, and sales objectives.

- Create seasonal visual merchandising plans and guidelines for all retail locations.

- Plan and execute window displays, in-store layouts, and product presentations that are visually appealing and drive traffic.

- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for visual merchandising improvements.

Display Creation and Execution:

- Create visually appealing displays that effectively showcase products and align with brand identity and marketing campaigns.

- Utilize knowledge of visual merchandising principles, including color theory, space utilization, and storytelling, to create impactful displays.

- Source props, fixtures, and materials to support visual merchandising concepts.

- Oversee the execution of visual merchandising directives across all store locations, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate closely with marketing teams to understand campaign objectives and ensure visual merchandising aligns with promotional activities.

- Partner with store operations teams to plan and execute seasonal displays, promotional setups, and new product launches.

- Work with buying teams to understand product stories and highlight key merchandise through visual presentation.

Team Leadership and Training:

- Train and supervise store staff on merchandising standards, techniques, and best practices.

- Develop training materials and conduct workshops to enhance visual merchandising skills within the retail teams.

- Provide guidance and support to store teams on visual merchandising execution and problem-solving.

- Potentially manage a team of visual merchandisers, providing direction and mentorship.

Budget Management:

- Develop and manage the visual merchandising budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

- Track expenses related to display materials, fixtures, and installation.

Brand Standards and Consistency:

- Ensure all visual merchandising efforts consistently reflect and reinforce the brand identity.

- Develop and maintain visual merchandising guidelines and standards for all store formats.

- Conduct store visits to audit visual merchandising execution and provide feedback for improvement.

Trend Awareness:

- Stay updated on industry trends in visual merchandising, retail design, and consumer behavior.

- Research and incorporate innovative visual merchandising techniques to enhance the customer experience.

Qualifications:

- Years of Functional Experience: Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in the retail industry, with a strong focus on visual merchandising.

Skills:

- Proven ability to create visually appealing displays that align with brand identity and marketing campaigns.

- Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles, techniques, and best practices.

- Excellent creative and artistic skills.

- Ability to translate marketing strategies into effective visual presentations.

- Strong project management and organizational skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. -

- Proven ability to train and supervise staff on merchandising standards and techniques. -

- Budget management experience.

- Knowledge of retail design principles and store layouts.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.

- Proficiency in visual merchandising software and tools (if applicable).
