About the Role

Job Responsibilities:

- Conduct research and provide data analysis related to sustainable practices for building climate resilience, and adaptation strategies

- Analyse existing policies and frameworks related to climate change at the national and international levels.

- Perform in-depth research on the impacts of climate change on agriculture, focusing on food security, water management, soil health, and biodiversity.

- Assist in the design, implementation, and monitoring of agriculture and climate change projects.

- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance awareness and capacity-building among stakeholders on climate change mitigation

- Provide technical assistance to project teams on climate-resilient agricultural practices, such as crop diversification, soil conservation, and water management techniques.

- Support the collection and analysis of primary and secondary data related to agriculture, climate resilience, and rural livelihoods

- Draft technical reports, briefs, and presentations summarizing research findings and project outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.

- Monitor and interpret relevant policies and international climate agreements (e.g., COP, Paris Agreement) to provide strategic recommendations to clients and policymakers.

- Contribute to the creation of climate action plans with a focus on sustainability in different sectors for regional and national stakeholders.

Key Skills Required:

- Proven experience in project management, stakeholder coordination, and budget oversight within climate or sustainability sectors.

- Ability to conduct research, analyse data, and synthesize information into clear, actionable insights.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.

- Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and presentations tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.

Education Qualifications:

- Postgraduate degree in Management, Sustainability, Agriculture or related fields from a recognized university.

Experience (in yrs):

- Minimum of 5-7 years of overall experience with at least 3 years in Agriculture, climate change, or sustainability projects

- Strong knowledge of climate change adaptation/mitigation, sustainability practices, and data analysis related to agriculture and related sectors is desirable
