Manager/Senior Manager/Assistant Vice President/Vice President - Reinsurance

Role Overview:

We are looking for experienced professionals to join our reinsurance team at the Manager to VP level.

The role involves managing reinsurance operations, treaty negotiations, risk assessment, and portfolio management to optimize the companys risk exposure and profitability.

Candidates will work closely with underwriting, actuarial, finance, and claims teams to structure and manage reinsurance arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and manage reinsurance strategies aligned with the companys risk appetite and business objectives.

- Lead negotiations and renewals of facultative and treaty reinsurance contracts.

- Evaluate reinsurance program effectiveness and recommend improvements.

- Analyze reinsurance exposures and claims experience to identify risk trends and opportunities.

- Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams to quantify risks and pricing models.

- Perform portfolio analysis to support risk diversification and capital optimization.

- Manage relationships with reinsurers, brokers, and other external partners.

- Liaise with internal teams including underwriting, claims, finance, and legal to ensure smooth reinsurance operations.

- Provide timely reports and presentations to senior management and boards.

- Ensure reinsurance contracts comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.

- Oversee documentation, data integrity, and timely submission of reinsurance claims.

- Support audit processes and regulatory reviews related to reinsurance.

Team Leadership & Development (for Senior / AVP / VP roles):

- Mentor and lead junior team members.

- Drive process improvements and best practices in reinsurance management.

- Support training initiatives to enhance team capability.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Insurance, Actuarial Science, or related fields.

- Professional qualifications such as ACII (Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute), CPCU, or equivalent preferred.

- 7+ years of experience in reinsurance or insurance risk management; senior roles may require 10+ years.

- Strong understanding of treaty and facultative reinsurance structures, underwriting principles, and

regulatory environment.

- Proficiency with actuarial tools, risk modeling software, and MS Office
