Sales Manager Crop Protection (Government Sales)
Government Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and develop business opportunities with government agencies (Central & State).
- Manage tendering processes, approvals, and compliance for government sales.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders, policymakers, agricultural departments & industry associations.
Crop Protection Sales:
- Promote and sell company products to government institutions and agencies.
- Work closely with company teams to ensure product approvals and recommendations.
Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue in the government segment.
- Monitor government policies, subsidy programs, and procurement trends to align sales efforts.
Key Account Management:
- Engage with agriculture universities, research institutes, and government procurement agencies.
- Drive long-term partnerships for sustainable business growth.
Team & Market Development:
- Provide training and support to sales teams and channel partners.
- Represent the company in meetings, conferences, and industry events to advocate for our interests and stay informed about industry trends.
- Conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking to enhance sales strategies.
Key Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in Agri Sales, specifically in Crop Protection and Government Sales.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes, tenders agri policies and compliance requirements in India.
- Excellent relationships with government agencies, agriculture departments, and regulatory bodies.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the agriculture sector.
- Good knowledge of crop protection products and agronomic practices.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a liaison or regulatory affairs role, preferably within the agriculture or healthcare industry.
- Experience working with government tenders and institutional sales.
