Role Description:


We are looking for an accomplished Sales Manager to take ownership of the sales strategy, execution, and performance within the company. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sales leadership, team management, and driving business growth in [industry/sector]. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for building and leading high-performing sales teams, cultivating key client relationships, and working closely with senior leadership to meet revenue and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:


- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to drive revenue and market share. Align sales targets with overall business objectives and monitor progress toward goals.


- Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve and exceed sales targets. Provide training, performance reviews, and career development opportunities.


- Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture relationships with key clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty. Lead negotiations with large accounts and ensure that the company delivers on its commitments.


- Revenue Generation: Identify new business opportunities, penetrate new markets, and build strong customer relationships to drive sales growth across multiple regions.


- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics. Utilize insights to adjust sales tactics and positioning.


- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure alignment on customer requirements, product offerings, and promotional campaigns.


- Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts and manage performance against sales targets. Regularly report on sales performance to senior management and suggest adjustments to meet goals.


- Budget Management: Manage sales budgets effectively, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and within financial targets.


- Business Development: Explore new revenue streams, negotiate major deals, and develop strategic partnerships to enhance business opportunities.


- Contract Negotiations: Lead complex negotiations, ensuring profitable terms and long-term agreements with clients.


- Brand Representation: Act as the brand ambassador at client meetings, industry events, and conferences to reinforce the company's position as a leader in its field.


Qualifications:


- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.


- Experience: A minimum of 20+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, with a proven track record of success in driving revenue growth, team leadership, and strategic sales management.


- Industry Knowledge: Strong experience in [industry, e.g., IT, FMCG, Manufacturing, B2B, etc.].


- Experience in working with large accounts, managing a team, and implementing strategic initiatives to drive business results.


- Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a diverse sales team. Demonstrated experience in developing talent and fostering a high-performance sales culture.


- Sales Expertise: Expertise in the full sales cycle, from lead generation and negotiation to closing deals and managing post-sales relationships. Strong ability to develop and execute sales strategies that align with business objectives.


- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders, clients, and internal teams.


- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze market data, sales performance, and competitive dynamics to make informed decisions.


- Customer-Centric: A deep understanding of customer needs and the ability to create tailored solutions that address those needs effectively.


- Results-Driven: Strong focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets. Proven experience in handling complex, high-value deals.


- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales-related tools. Proficiency in digital sales tools and online platforms is a plus.


Preferred Skills:


- Proven experience managing large regional or national sales teams.


- Strong network of industry contacts and business relationships.


- Familiarity with modern sales methodologies and tools, including account-based selling (ABS), consultative selling, and solution-based sales approaches.


Experience with key account management and negotiating large-scale contracts.
