Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Real Estate and Property Manager to oversee the operations, leasing, maintenance, and financial performance of our property portfolio. The ideal candidate will manage both tenant relationships and property assets to ensure high occupancy, optimal maintenance standards, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties
- Manage leasing activities including marketing vacant properties, conducting showings, and screening tenants
- Negotiate lease agreements and ensure timely lease renewals and rent collection
- Coordinate property maintenance, repairs, vendor management, and capital improvements
- Monitor property performance metrics including occupancy rates, rent collection, and budget variances
- Prepare annual operating budgets, financial reports, and forecasts for each property
- Ensure compliance with local housing laws, zoning regulations, health and safety codes, and environmental requirements
- Develop strong relationships with tenants, resolving complaints and maintaining high tenant satisfaction
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to building standards
- Collaborate with legal counsel on lease negotiations, disputes, or evictions if needed
- Assist in identifying new investment opportunities or development sites (optional depending on role scope)
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in property or real estate management
- Strong knowledge of property laws, leasing regulations, and facilities management
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi, Buildium, AppFolio, etc.)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage budgets, read financial reports, and control operational costs
- Proven leadership in managing vendors, maintenance staff, and administrative teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Real Estate License (depending on region/country)
- Experience managing both residential and commercial properties
- Familiarity with real estate investment analysis
- Certification in Property Management (e.g., CPM- , RPA- , CAM- )
