Manager - Production - Manufacturing

Job Purpose: Responsible for managing the complete production operations of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and BLT (Board Level Testing) lines, ensuring achievement of production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines while maintaining safety and cost-efficiency.

Role: Managerial

Principal Accountabilities:

- Manage end-to-end operations of SMT & BLT production lines to meet daily, weekly, and monthly

production targets.

- Drive production planning and execution in alignment with customer requirements and delivery

schedules.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Planning.

- Ensure effective manpower management, shift planning, and skill development of operators and

technicians.

- Control and optimize production costs, wastage, and downtime.

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance productivity and

quality.

- Ensure compliance with ESD, safety, and environmental regulations in production activities.

- Prepare and present production reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards to management.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to equipment, material, or manpower. Ensure smooth integration of new products (NPI) into production lines.

Experience and Education:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical)

- 15 to 20 years in Manufacturing Industry, preferable in EMS

- Additional certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Production Management will be an added advantage.

- Local Candidates Preferred for better operational efficiency

Knowledge and Skills:

- Strong knowledge of SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and BLT (Board Level Testing) processes.

- Hands-on experience with SMT machines (Pick & Place, SPI, AOI, Reflow Oven, etc.).

- Exposure to PCBA production, testing processes, and defect analysis.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Continuous Improvement tools.
