Job Description
As Manager, Procurement, your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Procurement: Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive strategic procurement plan that aligns with Velodata Global Pvt Ltd's business objectives.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present daily and weekly reports on Raw Material (RP) and Component Manufactured Goods (CMFG) plans versus actuals. Analyze sales forecasts to accurately determine raw material requirements.
- Inventory & Coordination: Conduct regular stock checks and collaborate closely with Warehouse and Plant Managers to ensure optimal stock levels and efficient order execution.
Vendor Management & Development:
- Lead initiatives for new vendor development, identifying and onboarding suppliers that meet quality and cost standards.
- Conduct price negotiations with vendors and meticulously follow up on dispatched materials to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare weekly vendor connect reports and provide regular purchase updates.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work in close coordination with the Accounts Department to resolve payment issues, manage vendor balances, and ensure smooth financial operations related to procurement.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure all vendor auditing processes comply with ISO standards, collaborating effectively with the ISO team.
- Meeting Leadership: Lead weekly and monthly procurement meetings, facilitating discussions and driving decisions.
- Travel: Be willing to travel to vendor locations as required for negotiations, audits, and relationship management.
