
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced People & Culture professional to oversee compliance, audits, and off-roll workforce management for a large and distributed workforce across India.
This role requires deep expertise in pan-India statutory compliances and a proactive approach to ensure organizational readiness for new laws and audit requirements.
Key Focus Areas
- Compliances Statutory, legal, and labor law adherence across offices, stores, warehouses, and studios.
- Audits Compliance audits, ad hoc and cyclic audits, and closure of action items.
- Off-Roll Management Ensuring compliance and zero liability as principal employer.
- Payroll (Desirable) Exposure or readiness to take on payroll responsibilities in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely compliance with all statutory and legal requirements across locations.
- Partner with pan-India compliance agencies/consultants to maintain valid licenses and approvals.
- Monitor and implement new legislations and rulings, ensuring organizational readiness.
- Develop and maintain a compliance calendar and ensure adherence across functions.
- Build and enforce an audit calendar; manage audit processes and ensure closure of findings.
- Oversee off-roll workforce compliance, minimizing legal or statutory exposure for the organization.
Requirements
- MBA in HR / MLW / LLB with 9-14 years of relevant experience.
- Strong hands-on experience managing pan-India or multi-region compliances for large distributed workforces (4000+ employees).
- Proven track record of working with or managing pan-India compliance agencies/partners.
- Expertise in labor laws, statutory regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and external consultants effectively
