
Position : People and Culture Manager
Experience : 3 -5 years
Location : Bangalore ( 6 Days WFO)
Role Overview :
The Manager - People & Culture will be first HR person and will play a foundational role in shaping our people function. The role will initially focus on talent acquisition ensuring that we hire the best talent across R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, and business teams. The individual will also set up HR policies, performance management frameworks, employee engagement practices, and ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations. This is a rare 0- 1 role with direct impact on growth and culture.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding:
- Lead end-to-end hiring across business, R&D, and operations roles with speed and quality.
- Build a strong talent pipeline through direct sourcing, networks, and partnerships.
- Design and implement structured hiring processes, assessment frameworks, and strong candidate experience.
- Partner with founders and BU heads to close senior/critical roles within aggressive timelines.
- Build employer brand in chemicals and manufacturing talent markets.
2. HR Operations & Compliance:
- Set up HR policies.
- Ensure compliance with POSH, Factories Act, and labour laws and other such policies
- Establish performance management and review cycles.
3. Culture & Engagement:
- Build culture from grounds up.
- Act as the cultural ambassador across teams.
Qualifications :
- 5-8 years of HR experience, ideally in a startup / growth-stage company.
- Proven success in high-volume and leadership hiring.
- Strong foundation as an HR generalist, with recruitment as a core strength.
- Exposure to manufacturing / chemicals / pharma sectors is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity, set up processes from scratch, and scale them.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, high empathy, and a business-first mindset.
